Waste management organisations that are successful in their application to become Green Compass members will be issued with an official certificate of membership – and as part of the commitment to continuous improvement will need to be re-inspected every 12 months to maintain valid certification and membership.
Existing members of the scheme have found that internally there has been a greater focus on operational processes leading to improved performance and an increase in recovery rates with associated financial benefits. The majority of members have also benefitted from an upturn in business opportunities as the number of companies and public bodies seeking to appoint PAS 402 certificated waste management is significantly increasing. The use of the Green Compass Logo will reassure these potential customers of your commitment to providing an assured, independently verified service for their waste resource requirements.
