Waste Management Organisation
About
Waste management organisations that are successful in their application to become Green Compass Scheme members will be issued with an official certificate of membership – and as part of the commitment to continuous improvement will need to be re-inspected every 12 months to maintain valid certification and membership.
Benefits
Existing members of the scheme have found that internally there has been a greater focus on operational processes leading to improved performance and an increase in recovery rates with associated financial benefits. The majority of members have also benefitted from an upturn in business opportunities as the number of companies and public bodies seeking to appoint certificated PAS 402 waste management is significantly increasing. The use of the Green Compass Scheme Logo will reassure these potential customers of your commitment to providing an assured, independently verified service for their waste resource requirements.

PROCESS 02
Waste Producer
About
Waste producers can rest assured that when specifying that members of their supply chain have a Green Compass certificate they are building a strong supplier network which will supply quality performance data that is validated by external UKAS accredited inspectors.
Applications
We welcome applications from contractors who wish to strengthen their commitment to Green Compass by receiving Industry Partner status. The process will include completion of a short expression of interest form and benefits include regular reference in media materials as well as documentation to evidence the company commitment.

Waste Broker
About
Waste Broker’s are a vital link in the waste management chain.
Delivering a national service at a local level, waste brokers can benefit from collaborating with Green Compass to reduce the burden on due diligence and supplier management – a Green Compass member is pre-qualified through the independent UKAS accredited inspection – selecting a Green Compass waste manager is an effective and assured decision.
